Please be sure to bring your $20 this weekend (January 24) if you want to play in league games.
I am looking for pictures, videos, rosters, stories, etc. about the Oakland Independent League. If you have anything that we can put up on this website, please email nateATshalomofoakland.com. Stay tuned for stats from the first two games of the season.

1. Create Healthy Community: where young men can positively interact with each other, coaches, older adults, mentors, neighbors, etc. A place where young men can grow into mature men.
2. Maintain Competitive Basketball: competition to test ourselves and help drive youth towards success and acheivement. Parlay the healthy competitive environment into other areas of our lives such as academics, employment, relationships/family, and responsibility. 3. Preach positive messages through word and deed: this will be done through short 'chalk-talks' and mainly through setting a culture of what it is to be human, to have self-respect and compassion for others, to push to grow and be and make better. 4. Do Good: participate and contribute to the neighborhood through clean-up days, service projects, community walks, and organizing functions. |
